Vinay Rao

Vinay is a seasoned technology leader with over 25 years of experience in IT, specializing in Performance Engineering and Quality Assurance. As a Service Delivery Lead (SDL) within IBM Consulting’s Quality Engineering practice, he has led complex, first-of-a-kind transformation programs across industries, consistently driving client value through innovation, best practices, and accelerators that strengthen system resilience and enhance customer experience.

In parallel, Since joining IBM in 2009, he has also been instrumental in building IBM’s performance engineering community, mentoring more than 500 professionals and advancing the firm’s delivery excellence.

His expertise extends to Accessibility Testing, enabling clients to deliver inclusive and compliant digital experiences. More recently, Vinay has been at the forefront of applying Generative AI in Quality Engineering, harnessing AI-driven insights to accelerate root-cause analysis, enhance workload modeling, and optimize test automation at scale. Outside of work, he is an avid reader and traveler with a passion for continuous learning.
